I know it's not what you're used to seeing in recipes, but adding salt to your wet ingredients can really help with distribution and flavor! The salt dissolves and is dispersed equally in the wet ingredients as opposed to just the granules in the dry ingredients. Doing this will give you a better flavor in your baking. Give it a go!

Great to know, Gemma! It's along the same idea of rubbing your citrus zest into your sugar. With clean hands, of course! It allows the oils in the zest to be evenly distributed, even if it means using the zest in a different, earlier step.
