I think the idea of it having the free spinning part under the blade is for the beyblades that try to burst it. They might be deflected or roll off of Silver Wolf instead of hitting the rachet clearly enough to burst it

Don't worry, it has free spin. It doesn't have teeth on the shaft of the bit like other bits, so the ratchet can't hold it in place, which allows the bit to free spin. So, for those who wonder, the bit is free spinning and also works with other beys

I’m pretty sure the free spin isn’t really on the bit itself, but it’s more of how any bit is attached. Notice when u rotate the bit, it makes a clicking noise? People have pointed out that the teeth that cause those clicking noises will be removed, allowing it to rotate more smoothly
