This is my own personal dog Ezekiel and he is one of the best things to ever happen in my life. I don’t make my dog work for me, I work WITH my dog. We have a common bond based off of both love and communication.

This is so true. I hate people that bully their dogs.

Finding a common bond and what drives your dog… In other words, learning the dog’s personality and adapting your training to the dog. I love this.

I completely agree you can train a dog without treats and without dominating it

Absolutely. My rottie respect me because I'm his safe place, I'm his teacher, I'm his love, I'm it master. He gives me protection, love and obedience because I give him consistency, love, rules and structure.

I'm studying to become a certified dog obedience trainer, and I've also learned a lot through reading books by professionals and working as a kennel assistant. This is something that I've learned that I wish more people realized.

Cattle dogs are great for this, no matter what their bond and value exchange in their relationship is their motivator. They as a breed are so freaking loyal, and really truly thrive on the human to doggy relationship, that’s when they’re at their best. They will literally do anything for you.

That was absolutely perfect man! Never have I heard anyone put it 1,000% correct. Every word is exactly true and the cues ( like dropping the treat pouch) that you did at the same time; should be on some kind of promotional video for dogs! Perfect 👍

You couldn’t be more right mate, a big misconception is people believe they need to intimidate when training. I always tell everyone I’m not my boys master, we are pack mates equally taking on this world together 🐺

THANKS!
It's just been 10 years that I've been killing myself saying dominance in dogs doesn't exist! Dominance is a “HUMAN” feeling.
It's humans who perform anthropomorphism by projecting their own intentions onto the animals around them.
