(Rescuing an elderly dog being dragged behind a motorcycle, deemed 'useless' and on its way to be sold.)
A dog tied to a short leash, crying out in distress.
I quickly chased after it as it was being dragged behind a motorcycle. The owner, an elderly man, explained that the dog, once used as a sheepdog, was now old and "useless," so he was on his way to sell it.
The situation was both absurd and heartbreaking. The dog’s fur was matted and patchy from neglect.
When I offered to take the dog and cover the cost of its care, the man became angry and pulled the dog away again.
Eventually, I paid the required amount and carefully freed the dog from the tightly wound wire leash.
At the vet, I was relieved to hear that aside from vaccinations and consistent care, the dog would be fine.
With its fur cleaned up and looking much better, I’m now preparing to bring this sweet dog into a new, loving family.
