Started playing elden ring late a couple weeks ago, immediately the âopen worldâ aspect of it turned me off completely (me being very rusty with souls games was definitely a contributing factor) but it almost just feels as if there is no direction, I get the whole âdo it your own wayâ but nah bro, just killed the flow to me. A few days of playing I reinstalled dark souls 3 and immediately started having a way better experience, people shit on the linearity of ds3, but to me itâs almost what makes it so perfect. You can play through the entire game without having to wiki anything. Elden ring I found myself on the wiki every other step I took. After I finish this run of ds3 Iâm starting elden ring again to see how I feel about it. Being bad really could be the main reason I was so frustrated with it lmao

i feel like elden ring was left intentionally open for a sequel even though they said they wonât we have the outer gods and marika which we are married too so now we are literal gods they hint a lot at the outer gods like frenzy flame and queen of blood what not and never actually see them

Itâs 200% their last âopen worldâ game. The open world aspect of the game is easily the worst part of it and thatâs majority agreed on by everyone. Semi open world tightened up and corrected should be their next game.
