Arcane battery is really strong with summoning.
Cast 6th level conjure elemental follow it up with create undead, then use the spell slot restore item from act 3 to regain your 6th level slot

The staff has a massive bug/oversight with it, if you equip the staff, activate the arcane battery and then unequip the staff before using any spells, the effect becomes PERMANENT, lasting through long rests and only going away if you fall unconscious. You can get it on every single party member too by just repeating the process.

For me I was able to just walk up real close to the barriers and grab the staff and robe without deactivating them lol. Must be a bug but I ain't complaining

I tried this yesterday and lightning or thunder damage didn't deactivate the Shields. The only way I could see was the levers (which were revealed when using see invisibility) which required a roll of 20 to succeed. But if you failed it didn't let you try again. Not sure if a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

The best part of the staff is the spell that grants you per round casting. If you go lightning you get chain lightning every round

You can also deactivate the barrier by using See Invisibility (or the corresponding elixir), then you can see a button next to the barrier. It also allows you to see the plaques for alle the buttons in the tower.
