I've seen people talk about no gacha, but I want to see someone do ONLY gacha.

I think that the concept of beating some levels with no gacha units can be pretty neat, but focus your whole account on that can become a bit boring really fast. I mean, the early game is just dancer carrying and once you get talents is pretty much talented dark lazer, dancer again, courier, etc. For me It's genuinely fun but just for a while every now and then.

For me it fell off after the introduction of boraphim due to it being so hard to deal with using no gacha (maybe not so much anymore due to meta change). It feels so weird to rely on procs if I can just use the classic research ramen+thaumaturge combo and get my reliable boraphim counter on deck. It does occasionally still pop up for me with a couple of stages glass slippers for example. But yeah using manic mohawk as example is very good, you could one awkwardly stack mina with prisoner and hope for the best or two put thaumaturge in your lineup with crazed legs, slap on some other ld and boom easy manic mohawk.

The thing is this: No gacha runs are ONLY a good idea at the beginning, PERIOD. Thanks to Regit I obtained crazed cat and tank with less than 1000 user rank, but that's about it. If Regit told me something like "No plan A no gacha" I would jump throught the window, 'cuz NPA is cancer enough with gacha unit but NO GACHA? oh man ._.
Edit: I started playing Battle Cats barely at november of 2021 if I remind well and today I have almost 7k user rank and lots of gacha units that makes the life easier.

for early game guides it makes sense when players cant be expected to have all rare/sr gacha units, but anyone thatĀ“s later in the game kinda just realistically has the gacha units anyways so thereĀ“s not much point

The concept of no gacha is good for like everyone's guide but tbh, if ur searching a guide for beating a level, it means u want to give the game a minimum of time to learn it, if that's the case, it's 100% sure u gonna have some gacha cats, so in the end it rly lose some sense, in the other hand someone can have trash luck and get +10 tin cat (my case), and what u do with that shit, at least it wasn't my first time in the game but c'mon

This was pretty much it in 2016 when the hardest shit in game were the manics, heavenly tower had 30 floors and SoL was nowhere near to be finished. But now all that can be considered early-mid game. No gacha, many units is definitely easy on that part of the game and even after. But you should definitely take a look at end game shit like level 3 UL and the colossus gauntlets before saying stuff like this. And yeah consider the minimalist meta as several stages are just slap 5 meatshields and the dragon variants and win.

Even like four-six years ago it was easier to get good gacha units than plus levels. In my first play through, Eraser Cat was a mythical figure. At least now we have more events that give cat ticket rewards

I do no gacha challenges for fun, also in my 2 years of playing battle cats, i have not gotten a single Uber, please someone help me calculate the odds of that.

It's crazy how the situation is now completely opposite of the old days. Nowadays is so easy to recruit Ubers that TF-ing your Normal Cats is now a chore.
