I believe his Bankai allows him to make illusions a reality. However, whatever illusion he makes cannot kill anyone with a higher spiritual pressure than him. This would probably be why he didn't want to use it, because he knew Yamamoto wouldn't be affected, and Ywach and Jugram, and Uryu and probably Ichibei and Ichigo.

I don't know if this is true but there was a guy I saw in the comments section of another video and he said something interesting....
He said that Aizens Bankai was actually stolen and sealed away by Ichibei in an alternate timeline, the reason Ichibei went to that timeline to take Aizens Bankai away and seal it was because it was so destructive that in that state Aizen actually achieved his goal and took over/destroyed Soul Society so Ichibei sealed it away in hopes that Aizen wouldn't be able to do in this timeline as he did in the alternate timeline........lol he went as far as to say this was confirmed by Kubo himself but I've never seen such thing in all my years of following bleach at all

The only reason why I donāt think your final point makes sense is because when ywach believes heās killed Ichigo heās actually turned aizen into a š© and aizen says āso you see me as Ichigo kurosakiā. Therefore I believe his bankai is to change what the person perceive

I believe maybe aizen has ability to tell information from future self to past self and everything was part of his plan and it is because we can se that with hogyoku he is still weak and TBWA aizen is still more power(with some seals) then hogyoku aizen

I'll be honest , I thought this too but I hope that Kubo wouldn't be lazy when it came to a person like Aizen and much less his bankai. It's a good theory but I don't think Kubo would let a mastermind like Aizen get a zankpaktou on steroids for his bankai
