Inflation begins with the creation of money to pay government over spending. The deficits are money borrowed to replace untaxed wealth.
Instead of inheriting from our parents we are borrowing from our children.
The New York Stock Exchange index in 1970 was around 1,000; today it is around 31,000. Prices today are 30 times what they were in 1970.
Inflation is not the cost of cabbage going up it is the value of the dollar going down over time.
A dollar today is worth about $0.03 compared to a dollar in 1970.
What the media calls inflation, increase in prices, is actually a reaction to inflation; the devaluation of the dollar.

They definitely should have started sooner. Everybody knows that now. 😂 They were still worrying about Covid when they should have been - slowly - raising interest rates

Just try to imagine the crying and screaming that would’ve happened had the Fed tried to tighten earlier in the pandemic 🙄
