To address the glove biting. I first saw this when Tyson fought Kevin McBride in 2005. When Mike started to get tired and struggle, he began to bite his glove. He did the same thing against Paul. I've heard that It's kind of like self soothing when he's stressed out (Teddy Atlas, who trained Tyson, said this).
I learned in 2005 that Mike had done this before earlier in his career as well.
Also to address Tyson's legs. If anyone remembers, he fought Danny Williams over 20 years ago when he tore his ACL towards the end of the 1st round. He had surgery to repair it but said in an interview that he never followed up with physical therapy (An important part of recovering from this kind of surgery) this likely has bothered him for years. Tyson's style requires him to crouch and explode with punches as he's coming back up, with a bad knee, this would be very hard to do.
Tyson has had neck surgery to repair a degenerated disk, and has titanium pins supporting his neck, and several months ago was hospitalized for a severe bleeding ulcer, resulting in weight loss, &requiring multiple blood transfusions.
Considering these things, his time away from the ring, and his age, he shouldn't have been in the ring. The commission only allowed it because money was to be made. Shameful.
Add to that the head trauma he's experienced in his life (since childhood) it's remarkable that he was able to do what he did against Paul.
