Just so you know, there are different types of Asthma. Keep an eye on when he falls ill. Does he have attacks during an illness like a cold or a flu? Does he have attacks when there is a sudden drop in temperature? Or in high humidity?
If so then he would have intristic Asthma and dust doesnt necessarily have a negative effect.
Obviously dont risk it at this age and do what ever you can. But just keep an eye on when he is triggered.
My daughter has intristic Asthma an i went crazy getting hypo allergenic bedding etc. I got rid of cats evwb though we had them before she was even born.
Turns out that they were never an issue 😢
Well done though mama for doing everything good

I work in the flooring industry, and just a little tip carpet and rugs actually help releave allergies. The fibers give pollen, mold, dust, dirt, ect. a landing place vs. hardwood, all of that just floats around. I would recommend keeping the rug and getting it cleaned and vacuuming it regularly. But good luck. It's so hard when your little ones are struggling. Hopefully, he starts feeling better.
