Nightmares aren’t here to haunt you—they’re here to heal you.

A nightmare is your internal therapist. The session only ends when it’s done, not when you force it to stop. So if you find yourself lucid in a nightmare, lean into it.

Have you ever had a nightmare that made you feel different afterward?

It is not a sign of a healing mind, it's a disturbance and once you conquer them, they will stop.

I used to have nightmares after watching something disturbing or stressful 😢 i don't have any nightmares anymore. These days if I have any dreams, the only dreams I have are very beautiful. I dream of animals and beautiful places. I would prefer not to wake up from those beautiful dreams because they feel fantastic 😊 Thank you so much

I often had nightmares when I was a teenager and malnourished... Now that I'm in better health, my nightmares are almost gone..

Nightmares can happen to make you wake up because you need to breath, so I'd say "wake up if you're scared and that's the instinct, but pay attentiom if you are are having breathing problems or your mind is trying to show you something". If it is "something" you'll have the same nightmare again. It could also be both, so... be sure to check your health and if you're sleeping properly

I've had lucid dreams ever since I was a very young girl and constantly throughout my life. My longest dream felt like it lasted years. I had a husband and 2 kids in that time. Waking up was really traumatic because I had the feeling of genuine loss for about two weeks. I have never managed to return to this particular dream, although I do have repeats of other dreams, or at least in the same "universe". I do get lucid nightmares where I have no control of waking up, unless i am badly physically hurt or die. Sometimes that death is caused by me to end the dream, by doing something like jumping off a cliff or out a window or something like that. This sometimes results in extreme discomfort upon waking. Sometimes a feeling that lasts the whole day, or longer. Even if it slowly fades away.

Haven’t had any nightmares I can remember. But I’ve had lots of stupid dreams. In those dreams I think: this is SO stupid. Then I wake up at same time I’m thinking this in the dream. I wake up because of the stupidness😂😂
