In an absolute thriller, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Atlanta Hawks 123-121 in Game 2 of the 2040 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Kamarion Christian hit a game-winning buzzer-beater to seal the win for the Raptors, finishing the game with 39 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.

Shakur May had an incredible game for the Hawks, dropping 49 points to go along with 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Despite May's heroics, the Hawks couldn't overcome the Raptors' balanced attack, as five players scored in double figures for Toronto.

After the game, May spoke to reporters about the heartbreaking loss. "We played hard, but we didn't get the result we wanted," he said. "We'll bounce back in the next game and keep fighting."

Christian, on the other hand, was ecstatic about his game-winner. "It's a great feeling to hit a shot like that, especially in the playoffs," he said. "But we still have work to do. We can't get too high on this win. We have to stay focused for Game 3."

The Atlanta Hawks head coach, Stephen Curry, praised his team's effort despite the loss. "I'm proud of the way we competed tonight," he said. "We had some breakdowns on defense, but we'll watch the film and make the necessary adjustments for the next game."

Meanwhile, in the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Clippers took a 1-0 series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies with a dominant 118-98 victory. Jesse Toliver led the way for the Clippers with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, recording a triple-double in the win.

The Grizzlies will look to bounce back in Game 2, while the Raptors and Hawks will resume their series with Game 3 on Friday.

This is Taryn Hayes reporting for the NBA.
