That's actually very helpful for me! I'm highly allergic to nickel, but love silver over gold. I have to return stuff all the time because I'm told it's no nickel but it has nickel. Going to take a magnet with me when I go jewelry shopping.
And no, I didn't know nickel was magnetic.

I wear a 925 silver necklace that had a hematite worked into it. My ex stole it at one point and broke the hematite before giving it back to me.
When i worked in a truck wash hall, it actually saved my life.
Silver gets jetblack in contact with stuff like hydrogen sulfite. It's just a tad heavier than oxygen but kills instantly when it reaches 500ppm and also odorless at that point. It normally smells like rotten eggs for those who don't know. When it fell down after taking it off for some cleaning, it got black as described.
Honestly scary stuff thinking about it because the only thing that actually saved me was a little button to directly open all gates as instructed.
Not a situation i want myself to find in again, that's for sure and now i kinda like silver a tad more than other metals.
