Yeah you already addressed it I know. But Runza is a Nebraska thing. Yes there are some Runza joints in Kansas and there are some in Iowa and South Dakota(Where I had my first Runza BTW at a Truck stop in Sioux Falls) But the Runza started in Nebraska and is basically a Bierock derivative. Based off an old German breaded meat pocket the Runza is the American version of the German version of the Italian Calzone lol.

I'm surprised to see kansas having this as the most famous, since the runza started in lincoln nebraska, but it makes me even more excited to see what our most famous sandwich is, because I have no clue 😂
