I ordered this one. I believe that the current model is good enough for winter too, becaues there is a solid line at the bottom which looks like it will deal with splashbacks. And I prefer the mesh because its better for ventilation. And on hot days, I will be happy I have the mesh, because I can go mesh only and enjoy the stars too:-)

Solid would be better for 1 person and a dog. Mess aināt the best for dogs they can rip it easy. Not to many tents in this category of a 1.5 tent tho which peeks my interest an I think a lot others trying to down size weight a bit from a 2 person tent would like this. But weight wise think Iāll wait to see if thereās a version in a pro model to get some weight down a solid on the door for my dog. Understand everyoneās needs is different but hasnāt met my needs just yet. Just hope thereās more models of this to come

I have an Oookworks inner for my Trailstar which has 18 inches of solid fabric at the base of the walls and then mesh above. Those 18 inches trap in a lot of warm air so the Durston walls could be warm enough for most of winter. On the Oooknest, when I open the door, cold air falls from outside on to my legs which is how I know that the inner has trapped warm air. The thing which concerns me are the steep walls of the fly. I appreciate that the poles are strong but wind slamming into those walls can't be good. I see that it has guy lines on the corner seams but the website does not show the guy lines deployed so I don't know if you are supposed to wrap them around the poles. Frankly, I'd prefer Soulo-style guy lines on the poles and mid-panel guys as well. Four guy lines doesn't feel like enough for those rare occasions when I get caught out without adequate shelter for the tent.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is a first version that's not for everyone but we are going to add a full solid interior pretty quickly.
