Meine Stadt, das ist in der nähe vom Adalbertsteinweg, habe auch 20 Jahre in der vom Hürtgenwald gewohnt, ist echt krass dort im Wald zu gehen, wenn man sich vorstellt wie viele da gefallen sind

I enjoyed watching this video for it is interesting seeing what was happening at a certain point in the past and how it is today but it was strange seeing the two people in the footage of how this place looks today just going about their daily business not knowing what was happening back then in that same location. When I go to the city of Birmingham in the UK close to where I live and I'm walking along the city center I think of the photos that I have seen of the buildings that had been blown up in the city center during WW2 and I look at the spots where the devastation had taken place and I think about what had happened there all those years ago and I look at the people around me and I think to myself that a lot of these people probably don't know what happened here but it's interesting looking up your local history for it's interesting what you might find and it's thanks to people like your good self that people can see things like this and know what had taken place in their local area plus it is interesting to other people too around the world who are interested in history and like to see photos and footage of what had happened during the second world war and how the place looks today.

I was Aachen 20 years ago. I wish these YouTube videos were available then. My visit would have be much more interesting. Thanks for this then and now.
