This was a small experimental video I'd been planning in secret since the spring. My first YouTube short video, AND my first dabble in compositing visual effects with live-action footage! And with that, I decided that delving back into Ghostbusters and trying to capture some of the first movie's classic 80s effects would be a perfect choice. And just in time for Halloween too! 😉 For this short video, I'd managed to put together an authentic-looking Ghostbusters uniform, asked a good friend if I could use their pub as a filming location, captured some footage of me pretending to bust some ghosts and got to work. I used After Effects with Video Copilot's Saber plugin for the proton stream effect, and Hitfilm Pro for the film grain effects, colour grading and editing.
