Bohemond and his nephew were key players of that time, Bohemond clutched at most crucial moments like Battle of lake of antioch to crush opposition’s relief force while vastly outnumbered, Dorylaeum and he devised the plan to scale walls of Antioch, His nephew Tancred clutched at Battle of Artah and conquered all lost territories they lost at Harran

Some historians believe Bohemond was the least pious of the princes in the first crusade. That he was an opportunist that seized the moment to create a kingdom of his own. This can be justified in the fact that once he convinced the other princes to give him Antioch through great cunning, he refused to complete his pilgrimage to Jerusalem and take part in its capture. Thereby proving his piety was questionable.

His actions before his capture tend to refute that claim somewhat but he always looked out for the principality first and foremost. I do think he was a great general, the best onr out of the princes but I also believe he put secular desires above any duty to God. Still, a great and legendary crusader.

He must have had a dynamic menacing athletic and daring appearance and mannerism and been a great leader of soldiers!
