There are apparently some DIYs you can't fly with since the 2.0 update, so some islands allow learning DIYs while on the island. Just check the rules of the island host

Sometimes it’s hard to even go to treasure islands because you can’t even take a few steps without having hella ppl trying to leave or come to the island so I just gave up 😭

A couple nights ago I went to a treasure island and there was someone there who was not closing their inventory at all because there would be cancelled pop-ups every 5 seconds for like 30 whole minutes.
Anyway after I finally managed to get everything I went to the airport but the island owner was blocking the door and because no one else could arrive to push them out the way I literally couldn’t leave and was forced to use the minus button.
It was so frustrating because I kept nothing and wasted half an hour all thanks to one person who wouldn’t close their inventory.

Another tip: if someone is coming in or leaving, but you can move still, don’t move! it breaks your auto save and removes the items.

There are such things as unflyable DIYz that will vanish from your inventory upon returning to your island. Check what those are before you go and ONLY LEARN THOSE ONES

Literally rage quit a few times because people “left quietly” I’d been trying to get in the island for a while and as soon as I have the items and go to leave somone left and I wanted to cry I was SOOO MAD

Something I like to do when I'm visiting Treasure Islands is if I see something that was dropped I'll either put it in the trash can or just keep it
