This is really weird.
I wouldn't call this a dinner knife, it's clearly a butter knife.
That's why it's rounded off and stuff, because it's literally meant to spread butter and other stuff onto bread.
As far as I know, dinner knives are the standard versatile knives we use to eat our meals.
Those knives should be somewhere in between both types of knives you showed, because they're supposed to be versatile.
They have a blade with an upward pointing tip like the steak knife and small serrations. They aren't as sharp as steak knives, but definitely much sharper than butter knives.
You can cut basically anything with them and also spread stuff onto bread with them, because that's their purpose, they're supposed to be versatile, unlike the steak and butter knives which are specialised.
