I'm a Survivor.
My father was abusive to me and my two sisters and my mother. He once disconnected a part in our engine to make the car not run and went after us with a machete.
I got married at 20 to an extremely abusive person. Divorced 18 years and 2 children later. Remarried to another abusive man. Still married after 21 years.
I had left my husband and got a DV tattoo on my ribs. A purple flower. With 2 flowers the color of each of my children's birth stone color.
I now am raising 2 of my grandsons.
I'd like a new tattoo signifying their survival of horrific abusive. They are now 13 and 11.

my phone doesnt record properly. however I think that's absolutely amazing that both of you are doing this. I'm currently separated from my husband due to a DV situation & a restraining order. unfortunately I have his name tattooed on my temple. as a single sahm to our 2 children who are 3 & 2. my daughter is special needs. i was also SA by a man that killed a girl a week after he did that to me. I've also got 10 yrs in active recovery that I celebrated on 7/18. I feel like I've made huge strides in the growth of my abuse. however I know I can't fully let go until I get it covered. I've been trying to find someone to take it on but nobody will even take it on at all as we live in a small town. I don't have transportation & live in MA it would literally be lifechanging to find someone in my area to help. keep doing amazing work!! sending much love light and positive prosperous energy your ways!!
