Honestly, I don't entirely mind N crumpling in front of Ghetsis (in B1&W1) because, as you said, Ghetsis is the one who groomed him. For years, at least, possibly more than a decade. That would be a tremendous thing to stand up to, and I could see it taking, say, two years to build up the courage to do it.

When was N ever ready to kill(at least in game), he challenged the pokemon League, First instead of rampaging with the legendary to show that no one could stand up to him and his ideals, and allowed the player to catch the other legendary instead of just attacking them first, also at most in the opening cut scene N was 5, during bw he was 20 so for 15 years he was given illusion of grandeur by Ghetsis it would make no sense if he wasn't at least a little psychologically broken by Ghetsis during the climaxe of BW, especially since Ghetsis at least appeared to N to also share the same ideals only for him to go against the very ideals he placed inside N's head from a young age.

I actually think Ghetsis is the most important character in the gen 5 games. At least in hindsight. N's truths and ideals, you know the major theme of the games, are manufactured by him. They are thoughts to be questioned but not supported by reality or his efforts when we end up inevitably stomping past him. If you think of black and white as truths and ideals, then Ghetsis represents something both far more important and more sinister: Reality. Cold, harsh, painful reality. You can blather on about YOUR ideals and YOUR truths but they mean nothing when reality contradicts them. Ghetsis is here to remind you indirectly that the arguments about black vs white or all shades of grey, are themselves NOT black and white. So when this liar shows up he presents to us that all N is ended up being a lie, because the man that gave him "his reality" was a lie.

A personal theory of mine is that Ghetsis is N’s biological father and abandoned his don because he was weak at birth so saw no use in him.
If this is true, an even crazier theory of mine is that N’s mom had the same powers and so Ghetsis only had a kid with her so a kid of his also had the ability.

Imagine if N, instead of shutting down, just had a breakdown and tried to battle himself against Gheshis for his ideals, but being beaten to a pulp because Gheshis's team is designed to be a counter to his team (or take out Hydreigon and sweep, maybe?) , and then YOU had to show how far your ideals go to defeat him. Maybe that won't stop the momentum??

Ill argue that while N's shut down makes total sense considering Ghetsis as a character and his upbringing, it DEFINITELY shows how rushed things can be when they want to wrap things up in a neat bow without truly biting into the meat of the thing they came up with. BW stands out to me for its story and characters as both lovable and having the balls to challenge their own concepts and introduce darker themes, and then they remembered it was a kids game and tried to play both fields 😅

I mean...
How would any person react if the guy who adopted them, raised them in a controlled environment were they could groom them for their own needs, wich includes putting him in danger via dangerous traumatized pokemon, react when said father figure comes out of nowere calling them a failure and a waste of time?
I think his reaction was quite accurate, tbh

So Ghetsis (or denis as his music would lead yo uto belive) should be next. Then, I'm not sure if conquest is next, but I'm more exited for munna from gates to infinity. I've literally just beaten the game today, and i think she's definitely one of the better villains. She definitely does the twist villain thing better than dusknoir (but he's better overall i think)

Off topic a bit but you remind me of a different YouTuber youtube.com/@TBSkyenShorts
Your style of videos remind me a lot of this guy and I wonder if you took a bit of inspiration from them

on one hand, it make perfect sense for someone under heavy psycological influence to struggle facing said authority, while they may have no problem doing that in any other circonstance.
on the other hand, I tottally get the frustration on a narrative perspective.
since, on the very climax of the story, up to where N was systematically showed as a very determined, well attentioned but extreme, rival, suddently can't stand for himself and fumble what could have been a huge thematic clash between gethis and N. even if this would have been only verbal, since it was right after our battle.
