I always love learning about instruments from around the world. My favorite to this day is still the Sheng.

The technique used instead of tongueing is the same idea as is used on the highland bagpipes. Using the fingers to break up the notes. One big reason for that on the bagpipes is because you can't tongue to stop the sound.
