Towing a potentially hydraulic locked engine (either direction ) is just MENTAL !!! If starter won’t turn then it’s time to pull injectors …..towing vehicle will just multiply stress on conrod (or multiple conrods rods ) and you will 100% end up with bent rods probably poking out the block !! Do the world a big favour and delete this “pulling vehicle backwards to get water out of engine “ stuff ….you might have got lucky but doubt anyone else will .
