Basim's teleporting is apparently explained in the lore. Apparently he's not teleporting, he's just moving too fast for the animus to keep up correctly causing the animus to glitch

I think the negative part about valhalla is not only you spent hours tracking down and killing those member of the orders and you not joining the Assassin’s after being exposed to it’s brotherhood but also the gameplay is way too long. At first, it was fun doing the capture and hold mission thing but having to do it many times..? Repeating the same thing for over and over till you conquered England..? It’s just plain boring. Also, the stealth system is the worse, for whatever reason, enemies can see you from miles away, forcing you to abonden stealth and go for viking mode!
