I remember the Wii was one of the 1st consoles to do this. I didn’t trust it at first so I’d walk up to my Wii and double check it was off

When I was a kid I played consoles on the floor, bed, or a wooden chair and was almost always close enough to the console to not really need to get up to press the power.

With the Xbox 360, There would be 3 Options or more. Pressing the Power Button or the Controller button but, There is one which is the media remote.
