I actually thought this album was a lot of fun. Kind of surprised that anyone could be this turned off by it. Really nothing about it that felt that offensive to me.

I thought it was decent. It's missing the fiery singles from their debut and they're overall just kinda leaning into a generic indie rock sound, but they still made some interesting decisions in that lane like the incredible finale to The Hills or the electronic breakdowns and auto-crooning section on Happy Endings.
I think it's a worthwhile indie rock record, but Courting has proven they can do better and more interesting and even I feel some disappointment.

This album was definitely a fall in quality for this band. This overproduced album that felt like it was trying to copy radio rock made me question if this was even written by the same band who made the EP “Grand National” that was unique, fun, and had personality to it
