I don’t sell in my videos
And I still convert 5 and 6 figure deals here
This may go against what alot of the influencers will tell you
But after a half a decade of posting videos, here’s my hot take:
It really depends on your style and audience
Example:
Our customers are 7-8 figure B2B CEOs/Business Owners doing anywhere from 1-30 mil/year in revenue.
Do you think I need a cheesy call to action at the end of my videos or in the copy (“DM me the work AMAZINGNESS”) for them to take action?
No
They are smart
They make calculated decisions
They typically watch my videos for weeks if not months before reaching out
In most cases, they’ve seen my content, gone to my website, and even know my pricing before booking a call
And guess what…my branding/messaging is clear and on point for that reason.
0 confusion
0 wondering what we do
I speak directly to them in my content and on my pages
(This is KEY if you want to convert without selling in your content!!)
Asking for the sale in your content all the time makes you look desperate in my opinion
This is brand building not sales afterall
Now….
All that being said, is it ok to have occasional CTAs in the copy or the video--sure
Do you need to let people know what you do in your content through examples, teaching, client stories, etc. HECK YEAH!!
But remember why you are here.
To build trust and credibility and position yourself as the key person of influence in your space… aka… BRAND.
Do that well and watch how the content actually sells for you.
