I think it honestly depends on the hair type. I tried to not shampoo weeks but my hair is really fine and straight and it’s impossible to achieve any volume or hairstyle if too oily so i just wash my hair with shampoo 2-3 times per week and i still feel my hair super healthy so just find the routine the it is best to you and allows you to look presentable and healthy at the same time.

After studying i have learned that the effects lie in the shampoo. I have purchased a completely natural shampoo that doesnt use things like shower gel. Which prevents dandruff and doesnt strip your hair of natural oils. My hair is in the best condition in a while.

Do you use a styler though? Some of us got hair we can’t just comb over and let hang free. I gotta shampoo about every 2-3 days because of the product I use to make mine manageable.

if u have straight ass hair u can shampoo 4-6 times a week.
if u have wavy hair u can shampoo 2-3 times a week
and curly hair u should shampoo 1 time a week.
if your shampoo has sulfates or parabens in it, get a new one
