This is a very good question that I’d like to answer using my experience. Before I was an attention seeker but then I get too much attention in the form of bullying, harassment, insults, etc that I got PTSD. I learned the hard way that too much is worse than too few, bottom line: I agree with him. Shame on some people who keep seeking attention

The answer depends on what we think human role is on Earth. Is it
A) To be happy and live your life to the fullest. If this is the thing humans are for than he was right is his place.
Or
B) To be part of something bigger than us and contribute towards welfare of all.
According to me happiness lies somewhere between these two. I personally too would remain out of media's attention but would also try to help the world by using my intelligence to invent something revolutionary or discover a cure for a deadly disease 🤞
