Don't forget to centre the router with a centring cone! I've done this for the router I use for my bowl and tray making - pure decadence I admit but that router only ever gets used for that purpose now and it's always ready to go.

But now you can’t use the router bushings unless you drill a perfect sized hole right in the center.

It’s best to attach the router then plunge a 1/4” bit through. Then either use a hole saw or step bit to get the correct diameter to fit the bushings

Acrylic is so expensive in here, tho you could've mentioned any flat material would do the job like 8-12mm plywood or mdf, or even any board or metal plate

Wow, even with all the drugs I have done in my life I could stay steady on a piece like that. Here I am using a piece cut off from the material I am working with on either side for free. And the thousands of once it happened.
