The Secret of the Mimic had a playable demo at Steel Wool Studios' Five Nights at Freddy's booth at PAX West, and after thinking about my experience playing it, I think that if the character focused on in the demo, Jackie, is the Mimic, that could imply that the Mimic's origin has been changed from Tales from the Pizzaplex

Really feels like Afton finally met his true end in Ruin. Security breach being the final chapter of that era, and starting point, away from ghosts and muderers, to machines simply glitching and going on a rampage. Targeting kids and adults alike. Seems that Charolette finally got Willam in the end.

Maybe Jackie is a prototype for the mimic and may left some inspiration for creating the puppet. ( Green Eyes đ đ) and yes I read IDâs comment but you know since the orange are when the green eyes are not in the way itâs still a possibility to be leading it as maybe a inspiration for the puppet as because itâs an animatronic that sits in the box and is know for long like limbs. But maybe I just sound crazy after 10 years of being in this living nightmare know as the FNaF lor

Iâm think Mimic was built more as a babysitter for children at the Fallfest. And given with Jackie, I think it was designed by William for entertainment.
Given that the Toy Factory is in the demo, I assume âwhoever the hell built the Mimic with what the game would sayâ built Mimic in the Toy Factory, and was taken to Fallfest for Babysitting.
With Jackie, I think she is a Mimic clone that William made for kicks and giggles. But I believe Jackie inspired Henry to create the Security Puppet while it also inspired William to create Circus Baby.
All I want with this game is for it to end the toxic book debate once and for all

I think this game is exactly what the series needs right now, in a time when the FrightsGames/TalesGames/parallels debate is raging within the community. It's not the kind of thing you can expect to see with any level of frequency, but it's a much more satisfying way to explain things like this than the books ever were â nothing against the books, of course, but it's nice to know what's canon and what's not.
Also, I'm sure the game will just be focused on the Mimic, but if we could get some lore reveals for the Crying Child that would be great.

Funfact!: the mimic is able to strech out its limbs to fit inbthe suits it wears! Also for some reason the mimic has an obsession with dressing up-

I just hope we get an answer to end the debate. Or at least make it easier, but I think it may be a 'the books happen in the games, just not exactly how they happen in the books' situation

I was just assuming Jackie was the mimicâs main costume and itâs tales origin is still canon, maybe with a few differences

Especially with the game, taking place in the factory, which is also the location to where the mimic story takes place.

I have a theory that Jackie isn't the mimic YET, that she will start the game as a completely diferent character and that she will get destroid and the mimic will use Jackie shell as a suit( since in the demo, dunno if is a rare junpscare or not, but theres a version of the junpscare that her mask is broken and has the Orange eyes just like in the trailer.) And going beyond that i think the mimic will be a amalgamation of all the characters by the end of the game. Yes that is a stratch but it is a possibility.

Now I have one of two theories: 1. Jackie is the mimic and the green eyes are simply a casing.
2. Jackie is a murderous malfunctioning animatronic for a good portion of the game until the real mimic removes her endoskeleton and puts on the costume

Notes: Jackie's eyes behind the mask in the demo are also orange, but we only see that when the green eyes aren't in the way anymore it seems, and the teaser video has an actual clip I could use lol
Also this is just a speculative possibility! I think it's also completely possible that Jackie isn't the Mimic itself and just controlled by its program. It's a theory, but we don't have a ton to go off of, so I'm just putting out ideas for people to think about!
