That's a clean looking mower! I like that level of detail

Just tilt the mower on its side over an oil pan. That’s literally how to do it.

Nice work! I especially like Royal Purple because it’s good quality and way easier to see on the dipstick!

Thats the way to do it every time its the best way actually even if you forget to unplug the plug and pull the cord a few times that way gets all the old out and any little particles to or sludge it'll suck out

Actually I like your idea for a vac/pump.

I’m pretty good at maintaining all my tools with engines…except my push mower. I haven’t changed the oil since I bought it some 8 years ago. 😂 I know I should but it’s been running like a champ so far. Thanks for the tip though

Instead of a twistie tie, get yourself a wrap-it storage band, they're velcro and work great 👍

I use a slightly loose zip tie instead of a twist tie. It's reusable and always stays on the handle.

What about the air filter, spark plug, and sharpening the blade?

Most mowers, at least the older ones, have a drain plug on the bottom. Also, I've never seen mower oil this black!!!

I just remove the drain bolt or get an oil pan and empty through the dip stick hole by lifting the mower on its side. This is a great idea but seems overkill for a light weight push mower but whatever you do you man .🤘

I still don't know why they stopped oil drain plugs.
A small spring clamp will hold the handle nicely.

FYI a external pump from harbor freight is $12 and you won’t have to use your $40 shop vac 👍
