Like the last video, I've talked about this sound before in previous shorts, but it worked perfectly in this context so I'm doing it again! Also important to know that the sound I'm accessing here, the sound of the 5 chord, (major scale with a b7) It's often referred to by its mode name of mixolidian! You should break down Sunshine of Your Love this way. I think it's a great example of how keys, modulation and modes relate to each other in a similar fashion. It had some interesting qualities when I last reviewed it that made it seem like the song was in multiple keys. I'm pretty sure my vocal student just couldn't sing high enough and found a nice harmony. But it's likely in mixolydian and that's what fooled me for a minute. Voice lessons are a beast, so much harder and way different than any other instrument.

Bro, I'm really digging these lessons... I'm seriously thinking about joining your patreon... if there was ever going to be someone's patron I'd join, it's yours hands down. You're approach is different, and makes sense... some of it kind of goes over my head, but I understand the theory...piano is my main instrument, and I refer to it when thinking about guitar, just trying to get my mindset to think like a guitarist...I just don't know my notes, I go on paterns, and my ear... it just seems so hard to know the fret board, because there's so many different ways to play the same thing, and it's complicated 😔
