Emotional Responsibility means that each of us is accountable for our own feelings. We can't control others' actions, but we can choose how we respond to them. This allows us to process emotions without expecting others to "fix" or validate them for us. Emotional responsibility is empowering because it means we take ownership of our own healing and reactions.

Emotional Boundaries, on the other hand, define where our responsibility ends and where someone else’s begins. This is essential when it comes to behavior: you are responsible for your behavior, and I am responsible for mine. When we respect these boundaries, we respect each other's autonomy and accountability.
