That’s because this conversation is 90% context based. They can’t comprehend that the listener doesn’t understand how these details are connected to the story. But mom was there, she knows the park is in between home and the hairdresser and that if you spend an hour there first the kid will sit better for the cut.
She’s probably the one who told the child it was too hot to keep drawing with the chalk and they should go inside.(just on time for the appointment) She knows bluey plays at the hair salon to distract kids from snipping by their ears.
