One thing I learned about fast decents, as someone who has been a "roady" only 5 years:
If your going too fast coming into a turn, better to break before the turn as much as necessary.
Because, if you break hard while in the turn and you go over a little pot hole, your disc breaks can lock up the wheel, and you loose traction.
