I had this happen to me when I was 21 on a weaponfair where I did not want to be(!!!) when I was bleeding from my bladder(infection) after a punch to the groin by a child (long story.)
All men around me were trying to explain the menstrual cycle to me and would not listen to my explanation.
When I got upset, all (motordriving, sunglasswearing, armed) angry men surrounded me and told me that my period was no reason for screaming to nice men that explained the menstrual cycle to me.
They then got angry, because they thought the mansplainer was my boyfriend and they asked him if there was domestic abuse and if he was safe.
He said I was not his girlfriend and they took him into their group anyway, to "protect him."
I tried to go outside and the grown men stuck out their legs to make me trip, and shouted: Yeah you better leave bitch."
Turns out the lining of my bladder had been torn, luckily no internal bleeding had occured. It was scary to have everyone ignore my needs and tell me I was getting worked up because of hormones.

one time i was feeling so overstimulated and i had a migraine. i asked my (now ex) boyfriend to be as quiet as possible and let me cover my eyes. he told me i needed to "face my anxieties head on and work through this"
