āBentist said no to theseā, Bentist isnāt god. Every case is different, these retainers are fine and studies suggest the better approach to prevent teeth moving. You can still floss with them and as long as you get your teeth cleaned every 6 months like you should, itās no issue at all.

My orthodontist said I didnāt need this, just wear my retainer every night. Well itās been a year later and Iām back at a new dentist and I needed this kind of retainer because my teeth have moved despite wearing my retainer every day.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a fixed retainer as long as you brush and super floss even with it on. People are just simply lazy and removable retainers are quite often forgotten to be worn.

I clean somebodyās teeth and they had a blue bonding for the lower bonded retainer. It was easier to clean because I could see the difference between the bonding and the tooth. So if youāre going to get a bonded retainer, ask for a different color of bond. š
