Peterson can't answer anymore because he's had his ass handed to him by Matt Dillahunty

Faith is a useful tool to give people hope and religion is a useful tool to control people.

Thanks。In very few words, You sum up JP better than most。 He is one big word salad on most topics。

They support those who advocate for the social hierarchy.

It's ironic that Jorderson claims that atheists are actually Christians when he's actually an atheist. It just goes to show how easy it is to con religious people that they can't see that he doesn't actually believe in their god. If they were to acknowledge that he doesn't actually believe that their god exists but they're OK as long he lives by their god's rules then I could at least take them seriously. When someone is asked if they believe in god and their response is "What do you mean by 'do'? What do you mean by 'you'?" you know they're not being honest, possibly even with themselves.

You can use the word Christian and Hypocrite interchangeably.

Christian guy here: yeah I can’t stand listening to him talk about religion. Everything has to fit under Jungian paradigms for him and it completely misses what most Christians believe. I think Christian’s have given him a lot of credit for aligning with them on some social values issues, but when it comes to the source of those positions, namely the theological, there’s a wide gulf that sadly is ignored.

peterson knows most of his followers are from the usa its clever business to remain aloft and non committal with religion to keep the interest on as many platforms as possible. And adopt the term" i dont commit myself to heaven or hell.. i have friends in both places"

In the ongoing debate between humanitarian secularism and religion, the former emerges as a more favourable approach for humanity. While religion often emphasizes beliefs that lead to positive outcomes in the afterlife, it may not always prioritize the immediate needs and well-being of humans in the present. In contrast, humanitarian secularism places a stronger emphasis on addressing human suffering, promoting equality, and ensuring social justice. By focusing on practical solutions and tangible benefits for people, humanitarian secularism has proven effective in fostering human thriving.

Jordan Peterson is best ignored.

These are the same people who also revere Ayn Rand, who was a very public atheist.

Because Peterson is an outspoken believer although clever enough to be somewhat ambiguous about it so as to broaden his followers.

Makes sense, they're all in a fantasy together. He does believe in a god of sorts, a meta-god (a lie he knows is a lie).

These sorts of Christians are not spiritually inclined. They are into authority and obedience.

They supoort him because they agree with the his advocation of discipline and self improvement, but also what he says about basic human psychology that cannot be ignored.
I dont have to agree with him about belief or non belief in a god to see hes correct that people who cant sort out their own lives arent fit to solve the worlds woes

Finding meaning and value in life without religion is hard. It is still hard even in a Nietzschean sense of creating your own morality and value judgement system instead of following dogmatic "slave morality" which he described. So i couldn't blame anyone. But if you are a strict naturalist, let's say a metaphysical naturalist, then there is absolutely no hope for you to return to any kind of religion sincerely to find value. Every single religious practice would seem absurd to you in that case. So what is the solution to this? I'm very concerned.

You can appreciate someone's insights without agreeing with everything they say or believe.
Listening to Jordan made me less bitter and angry at my old faith, which helped me build many bridges. Something I feel is missing in atheist movements is assistance for people to move past the angry atheist phase so many of us go through.

Churches have always found religion useful. So it does have utility for them. But I think even Hitchens ackowledged that for many religion was indeed a useful fiction for many. But then he would say that does not make the claims of religion true.

JP believes in God and has said so but he makes distinction between his God and the fundamentalist God. He also portrays God in terms of psychological processes. He often frames christian theology as symbolic or allegorical and vice versa.

Let me help you understand brother, see, there is a high level of church political money saturating both political parties, sets the political agenda. The way we fix this is -use the voting public that has grown silent. Constituencies need to share and judge specific political ideas within their respective constituencies. The results would replace all other monetary lobbies.
