18 is old enough to do everything he said except buy a house. Investing in stocks and bonds can legally be done at 18 except in some parts of canada, and you can build credit with a share secured loan or a collateralized personal loan. I imagine generating 6 figures he has business assets of some form like equipment that wouldāve been paid for in cash if he has no credit. So he could collateralize those if needed. But the advice is really sound if heās getting that much work. I would say dump some extra money in a Roth for safety purposes too though.

God this 6-figure business is such a trigger word. A business that doesnāt do 6-figures is a hobby or a freelance job.
Why? Because anyone who calls their business a ā6fig businessā will barely break the 100k because otherwise it would be a āquarter million businessā.
So if you make 100k rev.
Pay yourself a salary.
Itās all gone.
Donāt get me wrong. Congrats, you started a business that generate money! Keep going and growing. But this is not by any means a big business where you need to think about investing or buying a house.

If we donāt prioritize accessible education, social welfare programs, and recreational initiatives to support and rehabilitate our workforceāparticularly those burned out from stressāit will harm the future of the United States.
