Here’s a fact that I found interesting:
During the 1997 F1 season, we witnessed one of the great F1 title fights between Villeneuve and Schumacher. Both drivers were a cut above the rest; out of 17 races, they combined for pole for 14 races and won 12 of them (7 for Villeneuve and 5 for Schumacher). Despite this, at no point during the 17 races, did Schumacher and Villeneuve ever share a podium.
For some context on how crazy it is, in 2021, Max and Hamilton shared the podium 15 times out of 22 races. In 2016, Hamilton and Rosberg shared the podium 13 times. In 2008, Massa and Hamilton shared the podium 7 times.

- Indy 500 was part of F1 despite using different regulations and F1 teams don't race in it
- Hans Heyer was the only driver to get DNQ, DNF, and DSQ in the same race
- Slim Borgudd also worked as full time drummer, including being ABBA's drummer. His ATS car had ABBA logo because ABBA let him used their brand to attract teams despite not sponsoring him

When Max Verstappen won the 2021 title, he became the first driver to win their first F1 title under the age of 25 that wasn't the youngest F1 world champion ever at the time. This hilariously makes him the youngest F1 world champion to never be the youngest F1 world champion; a record he inadvertently took from Michael Schumacher from 1994.
At the time of their retirements, both Rubens Barrichello and Ricardo Patrese were the most experienced F1 drivers in history, which makes it amazing to think they were never the oldest driver to take part in an F1 season. Barrichello, ironically, losing his chance in 2009 when Luca Badoer replaced Felipe Massa after a spring broke free of the then 37-year-old Brazilian's Brawn.
Max Verstappen winning the 2024 title makes him only the second driver, alongside Michael Schumacher, to win multiple 'Summer Olympic' titles. Much like Schumacher, he won them in 'back-to-back' years with Michael winning the 2000 & 2004 titles. Had it not been the pandemic, Lewis Hamilton, with his 2008 title, would've joined him in 2020.
Hamilton, however, does join Michael as the only other driver with multiple 'Winter Olympic' titles with Schumacher winning '94 and '02, and Lewis going back-to-back in 2014 & 2018.
