Jerry & Johnny are friends in real life and he Jerry also attended one of his & Jeff Beck's concerts before Jeff's death on the 2022/2023 tour. Jerry was also in attendance for Johnny Depp's Hollywood walk of fame star ceremony. Last we heard from Bruckheimer was that he was writing a screenplay & he said he would love if Johnny was in the new Pirates movie. Also we had news in early 2024 that a female would now have the leaf in the next movie.

He is so good at what he does. His visions are right on. All he has ever wanted was for everyone to enjoy their time for their hard earned money. So many people enjoyed Captain Jack Sparrow. He really helped give Disney a huge financial boost.
Disney needs to think really hard on this decision.
If it was my business that this mess would have never started.

This is an interview from before Disney let Johnny go without cause, without question, without proof & without apologizing. Jerry Bruckheimer is not Disney exclusively. As far as I know Jerry Bruckheimer & Johnny are still friends. He went to one of Johnny's & Jeff Beck's last concerts for the 2022/2023 tour & hung out. Jerry Bruckheimer can only do so much just being one of the producers who signed on to the franchise. I do hope he fought tooth & nail for Johnny though or behind the scenes hopefully he did. Who knows? I know it's hard not to be frustrated at Jerry here specifically, but it's him reiterating how important Johnny is to Pirates. It's the truth. Johnny worked his butt off. Jerry did mention wanting Johnny in the new film/screenplay last year but Johnny not having a lead in the film is even more of Disney showing they don't care about what they did or accept that they were wrong.
The EXACT ongoings between Johnny & the Disney company as a whole are unknown, but Johnny looks happy these days & is doing his own thing. Modi coming soon & he did Jeanne Du Barry.
He has Jack Sparrow with him everywhere & a Jack in the box literally. As long as Johnny is happy he doesn't have to be in another Pirates. HE IS CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW & HE MADE HIM! 🏴☠️ Savvy?
