I honestly thought that bardock obtained super saiyan against freezer, and then ginyu swapped bodies.

The S-cells definitely don't really seem to fit in with the Super Sayian explanation. It's just made up because the creator felt that there needed to be a logical reason for something that's basically magic existing.
Like with Star War's Midichlorians. But I still respect Toriama for trying at least.😅

I think unless you're Goten and Trunks level of inheriting SSJ that you need a huge shift in rage, which is why Vegeta never unlocked it -- he was never pure or peaceful so there wasn't a huge swing when he gets mad like Goku and I think Ginyu would have the same issue.

Yeah, I literally discovered Bardock was actually Ginyu in the end. Tho. When I watched it again, it did made raise an eyebrow when I Saw him using a red ki attack and a purple ki attack. Since I play Bardock many times in Ult Tenkaichi 2 and Xenoverse 2 and I do not saw him use those. Tho. at first I believe his first attack was genuin and not Burter's attack. Like and better version of Spirit canon or something.
