The box that broke ( last video ) was this gearbox. We rebuilt it and now its back in and working

Nothing. It was a stock RB25 gearbox. The ratio's weren't great for our car and we wanted dog engagement. This box ticked every.....well.....box

As I know, you don't need to clutch in to shift gears up;
but I'm sure of it that for this kind of sequential gearbox, you DO need to clutch in to shift down.

Both.
When 1st does 85km/h and 2nd does over 120km/h, its a bit dangerous to go full noise on the street while testing the box works.
The gearbox is set up so that each gear change sees a drop in RPM of approx 1800, so it is very closely spaced.
1st is super long so that 2nd can stay same as factory. 5th is same as factory 4th and 6th is slightly shorter than factory 5th. This means we essentially have 2 third gears spaced either side of where the factory one used to be.
