I just watched an old Judge Judy show. The defendant was a young man about 17 or 18 he had stolen an elderly lady's car, pushed her to the grown and she was suing for her damages. Judge Judy asked the teenager why he did such a thing to yank an elderly lady out of her car and take the car? He said "It was raining, I needed to get somewhere!" Wow, yes, that was all. He never apologized he got off light so Judge Judy gave the lady the maximum she could.

If they started sentencing people to 20 years for this shit, I think theyโd start thinking twice before carjacking.
Right now even if heโs caught, heโll get maybe 3 years, probation, and some fines.
