God help us! π I knew we almost need subtitles with some of the doctors but who knew we would need them for this... I dont consider myself "old" but maybe I am afterall...lol

Reminds me of my new grad year. We were so short of nurses, we were recruiting from around the world. So not everyone was speaking the same language. I was this little 22 year old Texas gal, and at times had to really focus on the Filipino, Indian, German, British, etc accents flying around the breakroom where we were doing group report... I had never heard fever called "pyrexia", nor the lack of a skull fx called "intact calvarium" ...π.
And the Filipinos had the best damn eggrolls

I was thinking last night. When I went into the nutrition room and all cabinet doors were opened and was amused by the new generation of nurses...I'm like this is so my daughter. I was like omg I'm getting old. However, happy that there is a great new generation to train.

And this is how care coordination and interprofessionalism is lost. How TF do they expect to care for a patient if they cannot properly communicate. We have prideful people who are not willing to ask what does that mean? I see it all the time then they ask the question to someone who doesnβt know the context.
