Day 32 of one boating tip a day !

I went crazyyy when we managed to get 6.5 kn of wind with only a very light breeze blowing (7-8 kn) harvesting more than 80% of the wind speed to our advantage, I was just jumping around smiling, I love physics and the Salona 46 so much.
So yea if we managed to do that on our boat, of course with a more lightweight bigger sail boat you can accomplish that, and it’s all because of the Apparent wind, the faster you go the more wind you create and the faster you can go and so on and so on, of course it ends at some point because of real world limitations and the fact that the faster you go the narrow the angle to the wind will be until in comes from the no-sail zone.
