Notes:
I arbitrarily designated a triangle (second line from the top) to represent the clave sound.
Despite still needing work in terms of dynamic control, timing, etc., it’s by far the most satisfying and challenging beat I’ve wrestled with to date. Brain is feeling slightly less smooth!
Also, I’ve been relying on stock sounds in the TD-27 module for all the vids so far and have yet to find a way to get a decent sound with the snares off or wire level reduced. Either way, I’m hoping to switch the method in which I record soon. In the meantime, if anyone knows what I’m missing, please let me know!
